Scheduling Goes Through Your Referring Network

Before any VA hearing exam, veterans are referred and scheduled through their network — VES, QTC, or LHI — not through our office directly. Your network assigns the office, the date, and the time, then sends us the appointment. Just as importantly, our office cannot change a veteran's scheduled exam. If you need a different date, time, or day, please contact the VES, QTC, or LHI representative who set up your appointment so they can update it for you.

How VA Hearing Exam Scheduling Works

Here's how a VA hearing exam comes together for veterans — and where to turn when something needs to change. The path runs through your referring network from start to finish.

1

Referred by the VA

The VA routes your hearing claim to a contracted network — VES, QTC, or LHI — to arrange your evaluation.

2

Your Network Schedules It

VES, QTC, or LHI books your appointment and assigns the Brighter Hearing office, date, and time for your exam.

3

Attend Your Exam

Visit your assigned office in Savannah, Richmond Hill, or Wilmington Island and complete your hearing evaluation.

4

Need a Change? Call Your Network

Any date, time, or location change must go through VES, QTC, or LHI — our office is unable to adjust it.

Please don't call our office to reschedule a VA exam. Because these appointments are managed by VES, QTC, and LHI, only your referring network can move or cancel them — calling us first only delays the change you need.

30-Day Hearing Aid Trial Period

Every set of hearing aids fitted at Brighter Hearing comes with a 30-day trial period. Wear your devices where life actually happens: at work, around the dinner table, and out across Savannah and the Low Country. Real-world listening is the only test that counts. If they aren't the right fit within those 30 days, bring them back and we'll fine-tune the programming, verify it with Live Speech Mapping, move you to a different model, or explore another option together.

Veterans Hearing Care FAQs

Common questions about VA hearing exams in Savannah — how VES, QTC, and LHI referrals work, what to expect at your appointment, and why scheduling changes go through your network.

Yes. Brighter Hearing is a proud VES, QTC, and LHI provider, and we perform VA pension and disability hearing exams nearly every day. As contracted providers for these networks, our Doctors of Audiology complete the same thorough evaluation we give every patient, then return your results to the VA through the appropriate channel. Veterans are seen at all three of our offices — Savannah, Richmond Hill, and Wilmington Island. Because your exam is arranged through the VA's network, you'll be scheduled by VES, QTC, or LHI rather than booking with us directly. If you have questions about your appointment, call (912) 431-3193.

VA hearing exams are scheduled through your referring network, not through our office. Once the VA assigns your claim to VES, QTC, or LHI, that network contacts you to set the office, date, and time of your appointment. You don't need to call us to get on the schedule — your network handles it and sends the details to us. When your appointment is confirmed, simply arrive at the assigned Brighter Hearing office in Savannah, Richmond Hill, or Wilmington Island. If you're unsure which network holds your case, the letter or call you received from the VA will tell you who to contact.

No — and this is the most important thing to know. Our office cannot change the date, time, day, or location of a VA exam. Those appointments are owned and managed by your referring network, so any change has to go through VES, QTC, or LHI. We know it's tempting to call us when something comes up, but we're simply not able to move the appointment on our end, and calling us first usually just delays the change. To reschedule, reach out directly to the VES, QTC, or LHI representative who set up your exam, and they'll take care of it for you.

VES (Veterans Evaluation Services), QTC, and LHI (Logistics Health Incorporated) are the contracted networks the VA uses to arrange medical and hearing exams for veterans. When the VA needs a hearing evaluation for a pension or disability claim, it sends the request to one of these networks, which then schedules the exam with an approved provider like Brighter Hearing. Being a VES, QTC, and LHI provider means veterans across the Savannah area can complete their VA hearing exam close to home, with a Doctor of Audiology. Your network remains your point of contact for scheduling, while we handle the evaluation itself.
