Dr. Katherine Neufeld

Dr. Katherine Neufeld is an audiologist who has served the Savannah area since 2005, practicing across both hospital and private-practice settings. She specializes in adult hearing aid fittings, with a particular interest in patients who struggle to hear in background noise and in tinnitus management. Dr. Neufeld opened her own practice — Brighter Hearing, formerly Neufeld Hearing — during COVID, seeking a smaller, safer option to care for her patients. Today she leads a team of audiologists across three Low Country offices in Savannah, Richmond Hill, and Wilmington Island.

Dr. Neufeld's connection to hearing health is personal. Her mom had hearing loss since childhood, so growing up with a mother who couldn't hear was simply normal for her. While in college she discovered audiology and realized she could help people hear better as a career. She has dedicated herself ever since to serving the hearing needs of the Savannah and Richmond Hill communities.

A former military kid, Dr. Neufeld grew up living all over the country. She is a retired competitive swimmer who swam for Ohio State University and now enjoys watching her daughter Anna swim for the Low Country Aquatic Club and cheering on her son Wells in travel soccer. She plays tennis with the Landings Women's Tennis Association and in her free time can be found golfing with her husband Ben and traveling.
